Meal-prep plans by subscription

Ready-meal delivery services call prepayment for 5, 7 or 21 days a subscription. The client pays up front, and at the end of the period has to be chased: a reminder, an invoice, waiting for the payment. A real subscription charges for the next period by itself — and far fewer clients are lost there than it seems.

Why subscriptions work for meal prep

Daily consumption that is planned ahead anyway

A 21-day prepayment scares people off

Buying three weeks of meals is a decision worth 15–20 thousand UAH at once. A weekly charge at the same daily price lowers the entry threshold and turns a trial week into a regular client without a separate sale.

A business trip no longer means cancelling

Today a client leaving for a week simply does not renew — and does not always come back. A pause in the dashboard keeps the subscription and the card; coming back is one click, not a new purchase.

Changing the plan without a new order

Calories, number of meals, excluded products — these are subscription parameters the customer changes before the next week. The manager does not have to re-enter the order by hand.

Next week's volume is known in advance

You see how many plans of which type have been charged for the next period before you buy ingredients. The kitchen plans against confirmed demand, not a forecast from messenger requests.

What the customer sees

A meal plan is a daily habit, and the dashboard has to make it flexible without calls to support. The customer can:

  • pause the subscription for a holiday or a business trip;
  • skip one period without losing their terms;
  • change the calorie level or plan type before the next charge;
  • change the delivery address or time slot;
  • update the card and review the charge history.

How to launch it in your service

Three steps, from the request to the first automatic charge

  1. Request and access

    You fill in the form, we get in touch within one business day and open the merchant dashboard and a test account.

  2. The widget or the checkout page

    The widget on your site, where the customer picks a plan and a frequency — a few developer hours. Or the Neocarts checkout page, linked from a button on the site or from Instagram — no code.

  3. Plans as subscription products

    Each plan and calorie level is an item with a price per period. The charge frequency is weekly or fortnightly. Your own couriers are connected through the API, or you take the day's order list from the dashboard.

Questions about meal-prep subscriptions

Per period — a week or two. Daily charges multiply transactions and fiscal receipts with no benefit to the customer, while a week's prepayment leaves you time to buy ingredients. The charge runs a few days before the period starts, so a failed payment does not disrupt delivery.
Nova Poshta is not the point here — for meal plans it mostly does not fit. Every day you get the list of active deliveries for the date, with addresses and time slots, in the merchant dashboard or in your own system through webhooks, and run the couriers as you do now.
Yes. Each plan is a separate subscription with its own calories and frequency, but one card, one address and one dashboard. The customer pauses or changes each one separately.
